We're a kickazz crew of creative queers on a mission to create pawsitive spaces and self-representation through art and activities.

ETCETERA!! is a collective hub for queers to celebrate each other, grow together, and
shamelessly love ourselves...

A place to feel less alone.

We're here for the animals, the freaks, the weirdoes, punks, kinksters, degenerates, the outcasts, undefinables...

...We exist for people who need guaranteed
safety in order to be themselves.

ETCETERA!! was created by queers, for queers just like us.

We're not a group for everyone... And that is completely okay.

While we are a space guaranteed to be free of judgement and discrimination from strangers...

We also promote the development of communication and conflict resolution skills in light of rising tensions online and infighting among queer communities.

FOUNDING PRINCIPLES

OUR ULTIMATE MISSION

♡ Inspire & promote the creation, curation and celebration of loud, vibrant, kickass art-making and
self-representation

♡ Collectively take over white-walled gallery spaces who traditionally discriminate and
prevent queer people from exhibiting and being perceived in ways they want to be seen

♡ For the “etceteras” who are grouped
into the Q+ in LGBTQ+, and don’t feel represented by the “Born This Way”
Corporate Gay rainbow-washing media

♡ Create a space for queer
people to gather simultaneously and
celebrate our legal right to congregate

♡ Help queer people feel less alone and recognize allyship and support is all around them

♡ Moderate an environment where judgement, bigotry, prejudice, ableism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, and so on are kept out of the space and are productively challenged
when they appear

♡ Creating a queer community that comes together to celebrate, not commiserate

♡ Moderate an environment where people of
all different life experience can learn and grow alongside one another- and assume the best
of each others’ intentions

♡ Encourage navigating conflict, tension and disagreement with maturity, an open heart,
and with nuance

♡ Create a space for adults to safely navigate and experiment with kink, friendships, expression
and their identity

♡ Membership of ETCETERA!! requires
being 18+. While adolescents are welcome at certain public events, vetting is in place to
ensure members are 18+

♡ Expectation to participate in having heavy, uncomfortable or difficult discussions sometimes

♡ Inspire a motivating reason for queer people to meet up and spend time together in real life

♡ Come together to experience queer joy
and have shameless fun together, in spite
of the weight of the world

♡ Be seen taking up space and having fun together in public, in spite of scrutiny,
judgement and bigotry

♡ Encourage people in the space to wear
what they want and express themselves in
their truest forms

♡ Create designated event spaces and parties for 19+ content and After Dark (AD) behavior with safeguards in place to moderate, facilitate, and educate about consent communication, intimacy, safety, and safe use

♡ Work together to publish and share educational content in public spaces

♡ Destigmatize and visually represent
queer, trans, disabled, BIPOC bodies; nakedness; kink, sexuality and physical intimacy;
substance use and sobriety

♡ Create a network for queer people to meet, connect and befriend each other, and recognize one another outside of the space itself

♡ Change prejudiced minds about queer
people by making it unavoidable to see queers
at their most confident and happy in public spaces, not hidden away

💖Don’t be a jerk, there’s enough of them in the
world already.💜 Respect for others is constant- even towards people you disagree with, have had conflict with in the past, or do not personally like.💙 This isn’t a place for airing dirty laundry, callout posts, or passive aggressive jabs at group members.🖤 In this group we are firm about maturely navigating conflict, disagreement and tension together. We offer the opportunity to learn and do better when mistakes are made. Prepare to have heavy uncomfortable conversations about your feelings sometimes and confront “drama” together sometimes.
See our conflict rules page.💖 Censor your messages and creative works with relevant content & trigger warnings not limited to: [Grief, loss, SA, DV, abuse, pet death, suicide, war, descriptions of violence, gore and injury, descriptions of accidents and disasters, politics, serious world news]💜 You need to voice what makes you uncomfortable. Boundaries are yours to inform and enforce. Don’t assume people know how you want to be treated.💙 Again; We take conflicts very seriously by using them as opportunities for everyone to grow out of black and white thinking. READ THROUGH our whole conflict rules page for insight.🖤 Keep promos, shoutouts and spam in their
respective channels.💖 Keep people’s privacy respected. Only share people’s art outside of the group with their explicit permission.💜 This is an 18+ only space. Any minors will be removed and banned from future events.💙 We can’t have discussions or images with graphic descriptions/depictions of sexual activity like p0rn. However, conversations about kink, intimacy safety, sexual health, education about communicating boundaries and safewords & the like are encouraged.

💖 Respect for others is
non-negotiable and unconditional, even towards people you disagree with, have had past conflict with, or do not personally like.💜 Nobody is incapable of error, even people who run the spaces– we are human-created, human-led and human-centered. ETC!! is young, always changing and improving from feedback and participation, as are its members and facilitators.💙 Assume the best of each other – Making mistakes does not mean people are bad or evil.
Embrace your ignorance: there is no shame in being wrong, learning,
and growing.🖤 Recognize the limits of your own life experience, we’re always learning and unlearning from others.💖 You are just as obligated to recognize and be accountable for your faults and mistakes as you expect the people around you to be.💜 Pre-existing personal conflicts with someone are expected to be put to the side for the sake of the group.💙 Severe personal conflicts should be confidentially shared with facilitators, who will help you assess to what level you need support and how to coordinate the best course of action.➡️ For example, facilitators can enforce sitting away from each other or organize attending separate events,workshops, and meetups from eachother.🖤 Our physical and online spaces are not for airing dirty laundry, callout posts, passive aggressive jabs at group members, gossip or shunning others.💖 Hold space for sensitive feelings of rejection when you or others are informed about mistakes or ignorance. Let the information settle, give it time to fully process.💜 Give space and grace to people who reflexively get defensive at first to actually internalize feedback.💙 If you have direct concerns about a group member’s repeated behavior, or if they are a direct threat to the group or its members, talk to an ETC!! Facilitator (those with the founder / handler
roles on Discord)➡️ Bad and messy breakups only apply if the people involved are in ETC!! and want space from

ETCETERA!!

We are a community
network for crafting, belonging, empowerment
and self-representation: Collectively QUEER,
United through JOY.

We host IRL events, workshops, parties, good company hangouts, collaborate on projects, showcase and exhibit art & media, & exist together online through Discord.

To be involved there is no requirement to be active, make art, or make any commitments. As long as you read our guidelines you can join in to any level you want!

At this time, approved members are people who
have joined our Discord, confirmed all of the server's rules, unlocks access to interact with the group, and have introduced themselves.

We don't believe in gatekeeping safe and healthy community spaces or making them exclusive and hard to join...

...But in order to keep our space safe, we need to all be on the same page about our expectations of ourselves and each other.

Becoming a part of our community means you care about growing alongside every one of us. Growth involves navigating conflict with maturity and compromises.

We hope that you fully internalize our guidelines about behavior and conflict resolution because it is a fundamental part of how ETCETERA!! works and why we exist.

When we know you have read and interacted with our guidelines, you will be welcomed into our spaces.
